Hahnair has sold 50 million insolvency-safe tickets for its more than 350 partner airlines since 2010. In 2010, the leading distribution provider was the first ticketing provider to introduce a free insolvency protection that is automatically included with every HR-169 ticket.
Securtix® guarantees reimbursement if a service issued on an HR-169 document with any of Hahnair’s partner airlines is cancelled due to insolvency. Additionally, stranded passengers who have already started their journey before the insolvency occurred, receive a refund for the unused part of the ticket including taxes. They also benefit from compensation covering the costs for a new ticket up to a total amount of € 125, as well as the costs for meals and hotel accommodation (up to € 75) and other expenses (up to € 50). And finally, travel agents are compensated for the additional efforts of catering to stranded passengers.
