Air India has announced the temporary addition of flights to Kolkata from four Indian cities to accommodate increased travel demand for the Durga Puja festivities.
Beginning September 20, 2024, Air India will offer daily, non-stop flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Kolkata for nearly a month. The airline will also boost the frequency of flights from Delhi starting August 15, 2024, and from Mumbai starting September 25, 2024.
With these changes, the frequency of flights on the Delhi-Kolkata route will rise from 28 to 35 weekly, and on the Mumbai-Kolkata route from 21 to 28 weekly.
The new flights are scheduled to offer greater flexibility and convenience for travelers visiting family during the festive season. Air India’s flights to and from Kolkata are also timed to provide smooth connections via its hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to destinations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and various European and Southeast Asian countries.
