Air India, owned by the Tata Group, has introduced a new learning hub called Gurukul.AI for its employees. The airline stated that Gurukul.AI aligns with Vihaan.AI, its five-year transformation program, and aims to evolve Air India into an organization that embraces continuous learning.
Gurukul.AI is designed to provide personalized upskilling paths for each employee based on an assessment of their job roles, existing competencies, and proficiencies. The platform incorporates competency frameworks tailored to different roles within the organization, ensuring accessibility to relevant modules, according to the statement.
The introduction of Gurukul.AI reflects Air India's commitment to fostering a forward-looking learning experience that caters to the unique requirements of each employee. In a rapidly evolving world, the airline recognizes the importance of upskilling at a rapid pace and delivering world-class learning content through digital innovations. Suresh Tripathi, Chief Human Resources Officer at Air India, emphasized their determination to transform Air India into a genuine learning organization through this business-focused strategy.
Air India plans to roll out Gurukul.AI in phases, integrating emerging technologies and customizing the system to meet the specific needs of different departments such as Inflight Services, Ground Services, and Engineering, among others. In subsequent phases, the platform will also incorporate advanced, AI-driven solutions for pilot training management.
Through Gurukul.AI, Air India aims to provide an enhanced, personalized learning experience for its employees, enabling them to develop highly sought-after skills as part of the airline's mission to establish global capabilities.
