This past weekend, AZIMUTH 2024 kicked off the 94th Saudi National Day celebrations with a spectacular event at Qa’a AlHaj, AlUla, drawing record-breaking crowds to its fourth edition. Organized by AlUla Moments in partnership with PEPSI, AZIMUTH has become the region's most beloved electronic music festival.
Building on the success of its previous editions, AZIMUTH returned from September 19-21 bigger and more immersive than ever, delivering a breathtaking experience that exceeded all expectations.
Rami Almoallim, Vice President of Destination Marketing and Management at the Royal Commission for AlUla, expressed his enthusiasm: “AZIMUTH 2024 was absolutely incredible. Under the theme "Until the Sun Comes Up," AZIMUTH 2024 offered an unforgettable blend of music, art, and culture against AlUla’s stunning landscape. The event welcomed over 25 artists and around 2,500 attendees from more than 36 nationalities.
With an eagerly anticipated lineup and pre-event ticket sales, AZIMUTH 2024 created a vibrant atmosphere filled with joy and excitement throughout its three days. Attendees enjoyed epic live performances from dusk until dawn, featuring a roster of world-renowned artists.
The lineup included GRAMMY Award-winning English singer-songwriter James Blake, German DJ Ben Böhmer, the Paris-based duo The Blaze, American house and techno DJ Seth Troxler, and locally-based DJ Agha. Other notable acts included Ghostly Kisses, DJ Jamie Jones, Mambo Brothers, and DJ YokoO, along with Vizar, Monolink, and Eli & Fur.
Reflecting on his experience, Ben Böhmer remarked, “This event stands apart from all others I've attended. It’s unique and special, set in a location unlike anywhere else on Earth. I’ll remember this forever and would love to return.”
James Blake echoed this sentiment, stating, “Performing on the Main Stage at AZIMUTH was a once-in-a-lifetime moment—a true career highlight shared with electronic music enthusiasts from around the globe. What an incredible experience!”
In addition to the headliners, AZIMUTH showcased regional talent and Saudi Arabia's rising music stars. The Hive Stage featured a vibrant array of local and emerging artists, including Cosmicat, Tarek Antabi, K.LED, Vinylmode, Hats & Claps, and Hakim, alongside Biirdperson, RDJ, Baloo, Varoo, Solskin, and Haffs.
AZIMUTH 2024 also marked the launch of the AlUla Moments 2024/25 calendar, featuring a lineup of flagship festivals and marquee events planned through May 2025.
