The village theme implemented at Country Inn, Kosi is a reflection of village life of ‘Braj’. It is a tribute to the culture and traditions of this land where God resides in the heart of one and all. Braj is unique in many ways; thanks to its culture, cuisine and various art forms, each of which is steeped in love and adoration for Lord Krishna. For an average Brajwasi, Krishna is not someone who dwelled in the past but is their beloved ‘lalla’ who still continues to live amongst them. Such is the adulation for the 'Supreme Self' in this land blessed by his birth. The theme village has thus been aptly named ‘Brajgram’.
The theme village offers a unique experience and exposure to the rural lifestyle of the Brajwasis and is a window to the agrarian ways of the village folk. Brajgram is fully dedicated to organic farming that forms a major aspect in these fertile plains of Yamuna River even today. From cereals to pulses and vegetables to fruits; the farms of Brajgram boast of an all-impressive repertoire and offer an enriching and unique experience to the visitor.
Livestock and other domesticated animals constitute an important part of life in Braj. Camel, horse and bullock cart rides also add to the charm of the village. All the animals in Braj are well-cared for and much of the work is done by the ‘Brajwasis’ themselves. The Mela Ground in the resort incorporates many folk arts, crafts and games that form an intricate part of the rich Braj culture. This endeavor provides a platform to the local artists where they get a chance to showcase their skills and crafts. The display of these various art forms, folk music and performances is bound to leave the visitors truly spell-bound.The resorts also has a dedicated corner for sports and has included many rural games which were earlier an integral part of childhood but unfortunately have gone off the radar for the next generation. These games not only allow one to flex the muscles but also are a trip down the memory lane when children indulged in games like Lattu, Kanche, Tyre Run, Pitthu and Kabaddi. A trip to the resort is sure to bring out the child in each one of us.The ‘akhada’ in the village is an experience in itself and offers a rare inside view of the systematic training and disciplined lifestyle of the ‘pehelwans’. For your very own ‘lalla’ (the little apple of your eye), there are enough takeaways in the form of a children’s park and an adventure course. Here children get to learn skills like better hand & eye coordination. The highlights of the resort; however are the Dahi Handi and Matka Fodh games, which are truly Braj in nature and help one, connect with their roots. The resort has efficient staff whereby all the activity managers are well-trained to keep the visitors occupied and active throughout the day. It is advisable to bring along a change of clothing in order to enjoy things like rain shower, mud bath etc. The experienced masseurs of the resort will rub away any pain or strain that may arise after a fun-filled day connecting with our mother earth. For those who are spiritually inclined, the village has a special kiosk dedicated to help one understand the ‘Braj Mandal’ in its true entirety. The kiosk displays and details many things about Braj that normally miss the eye while on a pilgrimage.
The food & beverages served in the village are authentic Braj cuisine and are prepared by the home-makers of the local villages under their guidance and supervision. The food is ‘sattvik’ in nature and made entirely in-house. From ‘rotis’ made in traditional ‘chulhas’ to vegetables grown in local farms, the resort offers everything to leave one licking fingers and asking for more. The biggest USP of the resort is its easy accessibility due to its location on NH02. The resort offers a perfect getaway for the family. So whether you are planning a special weekend with your loved-ones or a corporate team outing, a visit to Brajgram is a great option. The resort has something for people across all age groups and is definitely the ‘cherry on the cake’ for those who wish to have a unique experience of the ‘Braj Bhoomi’.
