Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, has announced the launch of Ginger Coimbatore Airport on Avinashi Road. This new hotel reflects the brand’s signature lean luxe philosophy, offering guests a modern and comfortable stay.
Ms. Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – New Businesses, Hotel Openings & Corporate Communications at IHCL, remarked, “Coimbatore’s status as a smart city, along with its strong infrastructure development and enhanced connectivity, is fostering a dynamic environment for both businesses and tourists. Ginger’s lean luxe concept will address the evolving needs of corporate and leisure travelers in this growing city.”
The 68-room Ginger Coimbatore Airport is ideally situated adjacent to the airport and near key business hubs like Tidel Park, Coddisia Trade Centre, Chil SEZ IT Park, and Thoughtworks Tech. The hotel offers amenities such as Qmin, the signature all-day diner, The Bar, a well-equipped fitness center, and a conference room.
Coimbatore, now a significant player in IT, education, and healthcare, is one of India’s fastest-growing tier-II cities. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, it serves as a gateway to the picturesque Nilgiri Hills. The city's stunning landscapes, colonial charm, and rich biodiversity make it a compelling destination for travelers.
With this addition, IHCL will now operate 18 hotels in Tamil Nadu, including 2 currently under development.
