Pune Airport witnessed a remarkable surge in flight operations during June, as it welcomed the commencement of 11 new routes, providing passengers with expanded travel opportunities. With the ongoing summer schedule, airport authorities are optimistic that the remaining vacant slots will soon be filled.
The introduction of these new flights has significantly increased connectivity options for travelers from Pune. Passengers can now enjoy direct flights to Delhi, Nagpur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru, thanks to the newly established routes that became operational in June. Excitingly, the first week of July will see the inauguration of two additional flights, connecting Pune with Rajkot and Vadodara. Furthermore, a new flight to Hyderabad is scheduled to commence early next month, offering enhanced convenience for passengers traveling to the southern region of India. Looking ahead, there are plans to launch another flight to Goa later this year, departing from the Manohar International Airport in North Goa, which will enrich the travel options for Pune residents. Currently, Pune Airport boasts a total of 89 to 92 flights, resulting in approximately 178 to 184 arrivals and departures daily. The increased number of flight operations not only facilitates seamless travel for passengers but also contributes to the overall growth and development of Pune's aviation sector.
