Radisson Hotel Group has announced its plans to expand its presence in Africa by opening seven new hotels across the continent. These additions will contribute over 1,400 rooms to Radisson's portfolio in Africa and introduce new brands to key markets such as Nigeria, Egypt, and Kenya.
One of the upcoming properties is the Radisson Collection Resort, Marsa Alam Port Phoenice, set to open in early 2025. This resort will mark the introduction of the Radisson Collection brand to Egypt and offer 294 rooms, including 20 suites. It will be located in Port Phoenice on the Red Sea.
In Abuja, Nigeria, the Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center will become the city's first luxury hotel. Situated next to the Presidential Palace in the Maitama District, this 249-room hotel will feature a dividable conference hall, five meeting rooms, a boardroom, and a pre-function area.
The Radisson Blu Beach Resort & Spa, Banjul, currently under construction and scheduled to open in early 2025, will be Radisson's first property in the Gambia. It will offer spacious contemporary rooms, presidential apartments, and royal villas, as well as multiple food and beverage outlets, a fitness and wellness center, and extensive meetings and events space.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Abuja CBD will open its doors in Abuja's central business district in early 2025. With 104 rooms, it will feature a stylish piano bar, an all-day dining restaurant, fitness and wellness facilities, and more than 2,500 square feet of meetings and events space.
Nigeria will also welcome the Radisson RED Lagos VI, the country's first Radisson RED hotel, at the end of 2025. Located on Victoria Island, it will offer 62 rooms, a gym, a pool, and close to 2,700 square feet of flexible meetings and events space.
In Kenya, the Radisson Hotel Nairobi Airport will open in mid-2027, becoming the first Radisson-branded property in the country. The 200-room hotel, conveniently located near JK Airport, will feature a lobby bar, an all-day dining restaurant, a gym, a spa, a pool, a retail unit, a crew lounge, and a sizable meetings and events area.
Lastly, the Radisson Hotel Algiers El Mouradia is expected to open in mid-2026 as the second Radisson hotel in Algeria. Situated in the sought-after El Mouradia district, the hotel will include all-day dining and a signature restaurant, among other amenities.
