In a new initiative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia has introduced a significant change by eliminating visa stickers on passports and implementing e-visas with QR codes.
This transformation is an integral part of the ministry's efforts to digitalize its consular services, encompassing work permits, residence permits, and visit visas.
The initial phase of this novel procedure has been successfully launched at Saudi Arabia's diplomatic missions located in the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Republic of India, the Republic of Indonesia, and the Republic of the Philippines.
