In a game-changing move for India’s aviation sector, Tata Power has partnered with Noida International Airport (NIA) to power the airport’s operations with renewable energy. This collaboration aims to integrate solar and wind energy solutions, taking a major step towards sustainable airport infrastructure in India.
Renewable Power to Fuel Noida Airport’s Growth
Tata Power will provide Noida International Airport with a 10.8 MW supply of wind energy through its renewable energy arm. Additionally, a 13 MW solar power system will be developed and maintained on-site by Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), meeting a significant portion of the airport's energy needs.
A 25-Year Commitment to Sustainability
The partnership involves a long-term commitment, with Tata Power responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure at the airport over the next 25 years. The ?550 crore (~$66 million) investment will ensure NIA’s future energy needs are met with clean, sustainable power.
