The first sales mission from Australia to visit India post the pandemic, 21 of Queensland’s top tourism operators took more than 300 travel trade on the journey of reconnection with Australia’s sunshine state at 3 events across New Delhi on 13 September 2022 and Mumbai on 15 September 2022. Joining the tourism operators were Mr Michael Branagh, Group Executive Marketing, Ms Khim Lim, International Director Southeast Asia and India, Ms Ryna Sequeira, Country Manager, India and Ms Hina Mehta, Trade Marketing Manager, India.
Mr Michael Branagh, Group Executive Marketing, Tourism and Events Queensland unveiled Tourism and Events Queensland’s new brand video A Beautiful Way to Be at the events and highlighted how the destination changes you, the change that comes from being in Queensland and the diverse experiences you have there with not one, but five World Heritage-listed wonders, including Gondwana Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. From world class events and vast landscapes to the rainforests, beaches and the reef, these experiences will refresh and transform you. This concept is being delivered to the travelling guest as change that is a “Beautiful Way to Be”
The events were attended by Key Distribution Partners from across New Delhi, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Rajasthan, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata. The Cocktails and Dinner hosted on 15 September 2022 was attended by our airline partners Singapore Airlines, Key Distribution Partners, and Key Opinion Leaders.
