Tourism Fiji recently concluded its first post-Covid Matai Agent Famil from India, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to revive tourism. The family trip was an integral part of the incentive program launched last year during the introduction of the new Fiji MATAI Specialist Programme, an e-learning platform developed by Tourism Fiji.
Determined to stimulate tourism recovery from India, Tourism Fiji has been actively bolstering its trade initiatives throughout the country. As part of the launch of the Matai Specialist in India, an enticing incentive was announced, offering five participating travel partners an exclusive opportunity to embark on a trade familiarization trip to Fiji.
Spanning over a delightful period of 7 days, the family trip provided the Matai agents with a chance to discover Fiji's hidden gems and immerse themselves in its captivating culture. Upon their arrival at Nadi International Airport, the travel agents were greeted with the warmest Fijian hospitality. They were swiftly transported to luxurious accommodations, carefully selected to ensure a comfortable and authentic experience throughout their stay.
During the trip, the travel agents had the privilege of experiencing Fiji's renowned natural wonders. They marveled at the vibrant marine life while snorkeling among coral reefs, and indulged in adventurous activities such as jet boating and zip lining, embracing the thrilling side of Fiji. Additionally, they delved into the rich Fijian culture by participating in traditional ceremonies and savoring the authentic flavors of Fijian cuisine.
These familiarization initiatives by Tourism Fiji aim to empower trade partners with comprehensive destination knowledge and provide them with firsthand experiences to cater to the unique preferences and desires of their clients. Equipped with this deep understanding of Fiji, the agents can now showcase the destination to their clientele with utmost confidence and enthusiasm.
