In New Delhi, a delegation from the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), led by their president Jyoti Mayal, met with the Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. During their meeting, which lasted for half an hour, Mayal informed the minister about the ongoing crisis faced by Go First Airlines and how it is negatively affecting both travel agents and passengers.
Mayal proposed that all airlines adopt a regulation requiring insurance coverage for tickets to ensure the protection of all parties involved. Additionally, she suggested the establishment of an Indian regulatory body to set standards and improve policy implementation for all Indian carriers and airlines operating from India.
Scindia patiently listened to the delegation and assured them that TAAI would be included in the task force set up by the Ministry. He also offered to meet with them at any time they desired. A member of the delegation expressed their gratitude towards Mayal for her efforts.
