Vistara and IndiGo Airlines have received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to launch new international flights starting in August. Vistara plans to introduce flights from New Delhi to Bali, Indonesia, while IndiGo aims to provide air connectivity from New Delhi to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The DGCA has granted permission for IndiGo to commence operations on the Delhi-Tbilisi route from August 7, and for Vistara to start operations on the Delhi-Bali route from August 1. It is noteworthy that Vistara is currently in the process of merging with Air India, which is now under the ownership of the Tata Group. Earlier this year, in February, IndiGo announced its plans to expand its air services to Kenya and Indonesia.
